Piret Järvis: Eurovision doesn't have good reputation.
Postimees asked Piret Järvis if Estonia should continue on Eurovision, in spite of recent years unsuccess and who
could win this year.
"If they organaize this contest, then Estonians have to participate there, for sure",
thought Piret, but added also that in her eyes this contest doesn't have good reputation.
Who would win this year, she wasn't able to perdict: "For the fist time I haven't heard
any of Eurovision's songs. Ok, I heard Dima Bilan, just few minutes ago from radio,
and Estonian song also, but about others I don't know anything. So to predict something
I can't".

Õhtuleht made "scandal" with Lenna's FHM photoshoot! Here is short translation:
Lenna made FHM shooting originally to Estonian Playboy and said that she don't
want to take off all her clothes, but Playboy said that Lenna is too teenage for
their magazine, so photographer Laura Kallasvee offered this shooting for FHM.
They were glad to publish those pictures because Lenna was voted to sexiest
woman. As chief editor of Estonian FHM Robert Kõrvits said, it's like this story
with song "Umbrella", Britney Spares turned it off (Didn't want to perform it),
but Rihanna did and Rihanna loved it. All other people, as well...! Robert said
it with smile in his face...

Lenna and Channel 11's show "One of you" anchorman Elis Aunasta chatted about horoscopes and how to do the zodiac signs match.
Lenna's experience says that whether the zodiac sings match or not is not worth panic, because for example she as a Libra should not get along with Piret Järvis as an Aquarius. However, they are best friends.

Ninja records Gessle-penned song!SANTIAGO - Vanilla Ninja, the Estonian Power Pop trio formed by Lenna Kuurmaa (vocals), Piret Järvis (guitar) and Katrin Siska (keyboards), a rocking girl band that is a well known act in the Central European scene, and now in Latin America, after participating successfully in the biggest summer Festival in Latin America, wich is the Festival of Viņa del Mar, past February.
Before the girls will go on tour next June in Baltic states, and their second visit to several countries in Latin America in July - August, they wanted to release a single to warm up the audience. After discussing this issue with Hector Faune (their manager / promoter for the Latin America), Hector proposed to get in touch with Per Gessle from Roxette to have a possible song co-operation, as Vanilla Ninja's music has lots of similarities to Roxette's uptempo and power ballad style.
When Per was approached for a co-operation he sent over two demos; "T-t-t-take it!" and "Every Day Outside My Window" but the girls felt these particular songs didn't suit them;. And so finally "Spegelboll" was chosen.
"Per kindly sent us two songs, and we picked one to use for the next release" says Lenna, vocalist in Vanilla Ninja. The song is composed by Per Gessle, and lyrics are from Piret Järvis and Lenna Kuurmaa. The song title is "Crashing Through The Doors" with music by Per Gessle and lyrics by Piret Järvis and Lenna Kuurmaa. Readers of The Daily Roxette will be pleased to know this is an English version of Per Gessle's "Spegelboll" from the highly successful "Mazarin" album released in 2003.
On the question if this will be the start of a bigger co-operation with Per, Lenna replies "Probably. I hope so. He himself was also very interested in it, but unfortunately a person who's as famous as him, his calendar is planned for a year or two."
"The girls are in the studio working hard to get a cool version out of it," Vanilla Ninja's manager for the Americas, Hector Faune, says to The Daily Roxette.
The song will be released on May 9 on radios, firstly in
Estonia,
and a little later in
Central European Countries, as well in
Latin
America.

Katrin comes back on TV.The newest Katrin's program named "Navigare" will have its premiere on 17th May 2008. Program will be emited each saturday at 9.35 (Estonian time) by Canal 2 and repetition will be emited by Kanal 11. Katrin is going to host the tv-program together with Rene Abner. Press conference concerning it is taking place in yacht-club 'Pirita" on 12th May at 12.00 (Estonian time).

Vanilla Ninja cooperates with Per Gessle from Roxette.Do you remember the news that Vanilla Ninja was starting the cooperation for their new single with an important international artist? Now it's clear it was about Per Gessle - Swedish singer, musician and composer best known as a member of a famous pop-rock band Roxette. Vanilla Ninja vocalist, Lenna Kuurmaa, said to Sl Ohtuleht that the new song "Crashing Through The Doors" is composed by him, and fortunately lyrics are written by the girls. "He gave us the song to use and we wrote the lyrics" said Lenna. But how about the future?
Could the single presuppose
collaboration with Per Gessel henceforward?
Probably. I hope so. He himself was also very interested in it, but

The song was recorded in
Estonia and by the way, Lenna said in that interview that beside working

has broken bone in the foot!Sl Ohtuleht wrote that Lenna Kuurmaa broke her leg and can't act in the play 'Pericles' for a while. As was said it happened because of weariness because Lenna lately was very busy and tired all the time. Fortunatelly breakage wasn't as pressing as it would be seemed and Lenna will come back to form again. Be careful, Lenna!:)

She said that new single will be available to buy from their new website vanillaninja.ee. Also, it is possible that it would be sold on tour and only limited set will be sold. She also stated that the new song is fast-paced and more info we'll get next week.
